We know this might be an unfamiliar environment. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you book to the moment you walk out. No surprises.
Before you arrive
You receive an email invitation from your employer, or a booking confirmation if you booked directly.
Choose any available slot — mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends. We run sessions throughout the day.
Working a notice period? Book an evening slot after 5 PM or a weekend. No one needs to know.
When you arrive
The centre is in a metro-accessible location in central Chennai. Easy to find, easy to reach.
Check in at the self-service kiosk or with the receptionist at the front desk.
Photo ID verification — a government-issued ID matched against your booking details.
Refreshments are available: water, tea, coffee. Help yourself before you go in.
Secure transition
Store your phone, bag, smartwatch, and all electronics in a personal locker. It’s PIN-secured — only you can open it.
You keep: your ID, prescription glasses, any required medication.
Allowed items go in a transparent tray, inspected and camera-recorded for the audit trail.
A same-gender staff member conducts a brief physical screening.
No personal earbuds or headphones — we provide standardised wired headphones for everyone.

Tall partitions (170 cm) between desks — no one can see your screen, and you can’t see theirs.
A diagnostic screen appears first: test your keyboard, mouse, headphones, and display. Press the buzzer if anything needs replacing. This is your only chance before the timer starts.
During the assessment
No internet. No external connections. The machine runs on a closed local network.
An in-house LLM is available on the local network if the assessment permits it — AI-assisted assessments are possible, but only with AI we control.
Face camera, desk camera, and screen recording capture the entire session.
Invigilators monitor from a separate control room — they’re not hovering over you.
Need a bio break? Press the buzzer. Timer pauses (if the assessment allows). You’re escorted out and back through screening.
Need help with hardware? Press the buzzer. An invigilator or IT support will come to you.
After
Assessment submitted automatically when time expires, or manually if you finish early.
Collect your belongings from your locker.
You’re done. Results go to the employer (if invited) or to your dashboard (if self-booked).

Common questions
What should I bring?
Government-issued photo ID. That’s it. We provide everything else — hardware, peripherals, headphones, refreshments.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, up to 24 hours before your slot, subject to availability. You can reschedule from the link in your confirmation email.
What if I have a disability or require accommodations?
Contact us at hello@honest.in before your appointment. We’ll arrange appropriate accommodations — extra time, accessible seating, screen readers, or anything else you need.
Can I use my own keyboard or mouse?
No. Standardised peripherals ensure identical conditions for every candidate. This is part of how we keep the playing field level.
Is there parking?
Limited. We recommend public transport — the centre is metro-accessible and well-connected by bus.
What if there’s a hardware issue during my test?
Press the buzzer. IT support will replace the faulty component immediately. Any downtime is logged and visible to the employer in the session report.
